Holiday Home in Manolates – Pitikakia

“Beautiful property with breathtaking views. A real gem.”
Alexandra, 2025
House
Tucked away in the hills, at the quiet edge of the valley between Manolates and Vourliotes, the house stands on its own, with wide views across the mountains, the valley, and the Aegean Sea. It is the last house before the landscape opens, a place of stillness, where you are largely undisturbed—accompanied only by the sound of wind in the trees, birds, and the distant rhythm of rural life.
Two terraces and a balcony offer space to sit, read, or simply watch the changing light, with many quiet spots to take in the sunrise. Inside, the house is simple and comfortable, with high-quality beds, a bedroom with a double bed, a mezzanine for additional sleeping, and a sofa area that can also be used for rest. It is well suited for families, one or two couples, or even a single guest seeking time alone.
The kitchen is fully equipped for everyday living, and the dining area opens toward the greenery outside. A small selection of books, a stereo system, and a calm, open living space invite you to slow down. Whether you come to work, to read, or simply to step away for a while, the house offers a place to settle and arrive in the moment—throughout the year.

“In one word: impressive and beautiful. A perfect private home experience surrounded by nature, all to yourself — 100% recommended.”
Cenk, 2025
Garden
Around the house, the garden unfolds as part of the landscape, with fruit trees and plants that change with the seasons – pomegranate, apricot, cherry, olive, fig, plum, apple, and pear, along with vines and flowers. Guests are welcome to pick whatever is ripe.
Large terraces create different places to sit and gather, from shaded dining areas beneath the trees to open spaces in the sun. There are quiet corners with hammocks and sunbeds, as well as simple spots to pause, rest, or look out across the valley. The view stretches far across the hills toward Vourliotes, with the sense of being fully within nature, yet gently held by it.
Parking is easy and directly at the house, and from here, the transition between indoors and outdoors is effortless – days naturally move between shade and sun, stillness and movement.

“Wonderful view that you can enjoy from the garden, the patio, the terrace, even from the bed (particularly the sunrise).”
Emine, 2025
The village & surroundings
A short walk leads you into the small artist village of Manolates, one of the most well-known and quietly beautiful places on the island. With its narrow paths, traditional houses, and a slow, almost dreamlike rhythm, the village is home to small workshops, pottery and jewellery makers, and a handful of simple tavernas and cafés—some open throughout the year. A small bakery and a few local shops provide what is needed for daily life.
The house sits at around 300 metres above sea level, directly on several marked hiking trails—indeed, all four of the Manolates trails pass nearby. From here, you can walk down through shaded paths into the Nightingale Valley, known for its water and lush vegetation, or across the hills toward neighbouring villages such as Stavrinides, Ampelos, and Vourliotes.
By car, the coast and the village of Agios Konstantinos are about ten minutes away, with a small supermarket, bakery, and several good places to eat. Nearby beaches such as Tsamadou Beach, Lemonakia Beach, and Tsabou Beach are within easy reach. For a livelier atmosphere, the fishing village of Kokkari is about fifteen minutes away.
